LO: Creating work in the style of Adam Neate

Adam Neate is a British street artist and one of the best known street artists in the world.

He specialises in painting art on recycled cardboard.

He has left thousands of his pieces of artwork on the streets for anyone to collect.

He gave his work away to his friends but built up such a collection that he started to leave them wrapped in bin liners outside charity shops as a donation.

He could produce around 20 paintings a night, and around 1,000 a year. Over a five year period, he left thousands of his works on the streets of London.

Art students were each given the artist research sheet to look at. It contains several examples of Adam Neate's work.

Adam Neate stated, "It has always been a dream of mine to do a show around the whole of London, to take over the whole city in one go. I want everybody to be able to see it, but once the pieces are out there, I don't mind what happens to them."

Art Club students were given the challenge to create their own artwork on a small piece of cardboard. Firstly they had to design it in their sketchpad, then transfer it onto cardboard.

They could then add colour using felt-tips or paints. Only the three primary colours of paint were given.

Take a look at the results as a whole collection.
They look amazing together!

The artwork is now ready for the public!
I wonder if you will find one?

Photographs of the artwork on the streets of London to follow...
